Description

The dwarf galaxy UGC 10822 in Draco is a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way at a distance of 280000 light years. Its matter and velocity distribution suggest it to be the object with the highest dark matter concentration known so far. It contains many red giant stars and is mainly made up of stars that are 10 billion years old. It seems to have undergone a star burst 2 billion years ago.

This is first light of my new Epsilon 160ED. I've had to return the first one because of a bad mirror. This one seems fine. In the coming weeks I'll optimize sensor spacing, tilt and collimation and will hopefully be finished in time for the summer Milky Way. I've long wanted to image this object, and the trial of the Epsilon seemed a perfect opportunity.

I've also added the full FOV with a quite a few far away galaxies visible.
